The Silverado Children’s Center is an enterprise unit of the SMRPD.

The Silverado Children’s Center (SCC):

  • We are a preschool program for ages 2-5 yrs
  • We are an after school program for students ages 6-12 yrs
  • We have an exciting summer camp program June-August
  • A working community garden
  • A stimulating hands-on curriculum designed to promote cognitive, emotional, and physical growth
  • Teachers who work individually with children, developing social and cognitive skills
  • Lots of cooking projects and an emphasis on healthy nutrition
  • What makes SCC unique  is its location and setting

Annual Events you can expect at SCC:

  • Annual Chili Cook-off Fundraiser in April (this April 17, 2011)
  • Annual Spaghetti or Pizza Dinner and Open House in May
  • Participate in Silverado Country Fair
  • Annual Pot Luck Dinner in December
