About SMRPD

The Silverado-Modjeska Recreation and Park District (SMRPD) is a California Independent Special District formed on March 22, 1961. SMRPD encompasses the communities of Modjeska, Silverado, and Santiago Canyon.

Our Parks

SMRPD operates two pocket parks surrounded by the canyons’ spectacular natural beauty. The one-acre Silverado Park and the two-acre Modjeska Park are community gathering places with playgrounds, basketball courts, picnic tables and grassy areas.

Recreation Programs and Events

SMRPD offers a variety of recreation programs and events for all ages. Enjoy yoga classes, concerts in the park, painting groups, community potlucks and summer camps. Seniors gather to share lunch and conversation. Hikes and trail rides are a big part of canyon life.
